Material for Teachers.

Mr Roberelli’s songs present outstanding educational opportunities for teachers.

Sing along to Mr Roberelli
Mr Roberelli songs are ideal for singing along to, either to the CD, or for teachers with guitar/ukulele/piano skills, the simple chord structure can be played while children sing the lyrics. There are also limitless opportunities to add kinaesthetic elements to your sing-a-longs (The Mr Roberelli logo invites children to remember letters with their bodies, not their minds). The melodies are catchy and thus easy for children to remember, the musical keys are ideal for children’s voices and the words are highly engaging and entertaining.

Stimulate childrens creativity and imagination
The lyrics in Mr Roberelli’s songs are highly original and crafted to stimulate imagination and creativity. Many of the songs are ideal for children to capture pictorially or even as platforms (accompanying theme songs) for units of work. Who knows, your whole integrated unit on geography, animal behaviour and the postal system might be held together by “A Goat Called Ken.”
You may prefer to listen closely to the lyrics of a song, or read them aloud and use this as a basis for a class discussion.  In terms of poetic devices, from rhyme to assonance and alliteration, Mr Roberelli songs are also a valuable literacy tool.
Here are some lines from his songs that could be used to stimulate creative thoughts:
How are things up on the mountain, Ken?
I could be living in your garden ...(tardigrade)
If you want to go to Rosenblitz ...
The ponds of Nova Scotia ...
The snowy Pyrenees ...
Slicin' up your greens so they resemble alligators ...
The time he was devoured by a whale ...
The milky way is glistening ... and it's only afternoon ...
The one standing there called Bill ...
You don't scare me, Mister Dragon ...
A nice place to hang your quilts ...
If you can get your hands on a giant's shirt ...
Laces on a leopard's shoe ...
Paint a face on a kangaroo ...
He's as bendy as spaghetti ...
